E-MAILING A BUDCAST REPORT

 

BudCast users can save and distribute reports using Excel.

 

   Choose E-mail from the File Menu.  Click onto the ‘File’ menu, and then select the button.                   

 

   Choose Recipients.  You can either manually type out the name of any e-mail recipient, or click the button to populate a new window with a list of BudCast users. To choose a user from the list; highlight the name by clicking on it and click the button.

 

   Choose File Format.  Select one or more file formats to e-mail from the following options;

  • Portable Report Format-  A compressed xml format – should only be used for small reports where it is important that the report will always be able to be opened even if the report has been created with an older version of FMW Web.

 

  • Temporary Report Format- Preferred format to use if the recipient has access to FMW Web Client or FMW Web Report Viewer.

 

  • Report in Excel Format (2003)- Excel format to be used if the recipient does not have access to FMW Web Client or FMW Web Report Viewer.  Drill downs will not be available, but formulas within the cells will be present. Compatible with 2003 and newer Microsoft Office Excel versions.

 

  • Report in Excel Format (2007)- Excel format to be used if the recipient does not have access to FMW Web Client or FMW Web Report Viewer.  Drill downs will not be available, but formulas within the cells will be present. Compatible with 2007 and newer Microsoft Office Excel versions.

 

  • Report in PDF Format- The user will receive the report in a PDF version. Drill downs and formulas will not be available.

 

   Draft Message.  Type message to recipient in the ‘Message’ field. This text will be located in the first line of text in the e-mail.

 

  Send E-mail. After all selections are made click the ‘Mail Report’  button to distribute the e-mail. The e-mail will come from “FMW Mail Agent”.
